Freezer Meals With Simplicity
I used to think creating freezer meals would be such a great idea. But every time I went to actually start planning them I would get overwhelmed with the amount of time and energy it was going to take me. Does this sound familiar?
If so, you’re in the right place because I found a simple, quick, and easy way!
Here’s the steps I took in creating a freezer full of meal for my family this weekend:
Step 1) Choose 3 sources of protein
Step 2) Choose 3 sources of fiber/ carbs
Step 3) Choose 3 sources (or combinations) of veggies
Step 4) Cook everything
Step 5) Mix and match into containers
Step 6) Freeze until ready to use
Here are some ideas I chose that might help you get started!
Ground beef (protein), spaghetti squash (fiber), sauteed kale + mushrooms (veggies)
Chicken (protein), quinoa (fiber), broccoli + beets (veggies)
Pork roast (protein), wild rice (fiber), brussels sprouts + onions (veggies
You can really mix + match any balanced meal combination that sounds delicious to you! I recommend labeling your container in the freezer so you know what you are choosing each day :)
