Refreshing Canada Day Cocktail
Hot weather. Long weekend. Celebrations.. Cheers to the WEEKEND!
As much as I emphasize the negative impact that alcohol has on the female body, I also understand the pleasure of a cool, refreshing cocktail on a hot summer day.
But when we consume cocktails that are filled with processed sugars, we are only adding more inflammation, dehydration, and distress to our bodies (on top of the alcohol we are already consuming).
This Canada Day Watermelon Cocktail is free of processed sugars and can be made in a matter of minutes!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sparkling water
1 1/2 cups watermelon chunks
1 tsp raw honey
1 drop doTERRA Lime
1/2 fresh lime (squeezed)
2 oz Vodka (Tito's)
1 large mint leaf
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend well
Pour over ice, garnish with mint, and enjoy!
NOTE: Make this a MOCKTAIL by omitting the vodka
Cheers!
