Pumpkin Spice Latte HORMONE SUPREME

I am a HUGE fan of the summer heat, but I must admit I’m also a pretty big fan of the shifts of FALL too.

I guess it’s something about the cool air, shorter days, and cozy sweaters! Oh.. and the FALL FOOD!

I simply LOVE the in season foods this time of year. (Did you know eating in season has an endless list of benefits?!)

Anyways, if you are a fall lover, you might also be a PUMPKIN SPICE fan. Or.. maybe even just a fan of a nice cozy latte!

The problem is, most times these specialty drinks are FILLED with health and hormone damaging ingredients - an excess amount of processed sugars, low quality dairy, artificial flavorings, and so on.

This might not be so bad if you are in a state of optimal health and you choose to enjoy 1-2 of these throughout the season.. BUT the majority of the population is using specialty drinks (such as pumpkin spice lattes) as a crutch or stimulant to get through the day.

Even if you choose the “healthy” options with “better” / dairy free milk, “low sugar” , etc. you are still consuming ingredients that can spike your blood sugar, disrupt digestion, and increase inflammation.

Not only that.. these drinks are also not very easy on the wallet! (aka- they aren’t cheap!)

That being said.. I absolutely LOVE a warm, soothing, fall flavored drink. I am sure you do too! This is exactly why I am sharing with you my Pumpkin Spice Latte “HORMONE SUPREME” recipe. Opposite of many specialty drinks, this recipe has hormone-loving ingredients, it’s LOW in sugars, and HIGH in added digestive support.

You can enjoy this as a treat, morning or afternoon sipper, or even at some extra protein + fat to enjoy it as a Sunday morning breakfast option.

PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE HORMONE SUPREME

**This recipes makes 1 extra large or 2 regular size

What you need:

  • 2 cups water (hot)

  • 1/2 cup canned coconut milk (full fat) **

  • 2-3 TBSP pumpkin puree

  • 1 scoop collagen

  • 1/2 tbsp coconut butter **

  • 2 tsp Dandy Blend **

  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract

  • 1 tsp maca powder (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

  • 1 tsp raw honey **

What you do:

  • Add all ingredients to a blender

  • Blend on low until whipped and frothy

  • Transfer to a mug and enjoy!

  • ** If using room temperature or cold water, you will need to heat after blending via stovetop or microwave**

Notes:

**Canned Coconut Milk - You can also use any non-dairy milk of choice. The full fat coconut milk will give you a creamy texture.

**Coconut Butter - Replace with coconut oil or 1 tbsp nut/seed butter of choice (ex. tahini)

**Dandy Blend - This is an instant herbal beverage made from dandelion root - incredible for hormone, liver, and digestive health- and can be found at bigger grocery stores and health food stores. Replace with brewed coffee or brewed dandelion root tea if desired.

**Raw Honey - replace with any natural sweetener of choice

** Sunday Morning Breakfast option- be sure to have a full serving of collagen per mug and add a little extra fat via tahini paste, almond butter, etc. Enjoy this alongside a delicious protein muffin or even a hard boiled egg!
